Back from the Philippines, and my beautiful, sweet, and caring girlfriend leaves for her dad's house

Well I'm back from the Philippines and wow what a trip!! As I said the plane flight was around 22-24 hours. Let me tell ya, it was one hell of an uncomfortable flight and the food tasted good, but it gives ya bad indigestion. Anyway once we got to tokyo, we waited an hour and got on our connection flight to manila. Once we arrived in manila, we had a 6 hour layover and we slept in the airport. We then had a 45 minute flight to Dumagete ( hope I spelt that right). My Yay(yes that's what I call my nanny/2nd mom/person who takes care of me.) saw her mom for the first time in 16 years and let's just say it was very emotional. My Yay's cousin Poying met us there and drove my sister to Nana's house (that's what I call my Yay's mom). The rest of us road in a van to her house. When we got there these kids took all our luggage and carried it across the rice patty fields. We walked across rice patties!!! It was the first time I've ever seen them. When we got to Yay's mom's house everyone in yay's family was there and they made a huge sign that said "Welcome Yay's Family." There was a huge pig that they had freshly killed and cooked on the table. Whew we had a huge feast which tasted great. Then, after all the commotion and meeting people we got Poying to help us find a hotel to stay at. So we slept at a hotel not too far from Nana's house.

The Next Few days we chilled with Nana and got her a new fridge and lots of other stuff. We also went in to the city. (Tanjay) In the city we passed one of the schools, which was an all girls school and they were acting like my brother and I were frikin celeberties. It was definately an awesome experience. You never really can imagine what it is like being in a third world country, until you actually go and experience it. When I get the chance I'll scan in all the pictures and post em somewhere.

A few days later was the festival, oh jeez what a festival. Tanjay city looked like Dumagete which is always bustling with activity. There was a huge parade with all the schools in uniform. Some classes cross dressed!!!! Throughout the day you saw pigs being dragged to the slaughterhouses screaming when they were killed. It was definately interesting. We also saw a Cock Fight (Roosters Fighting, just to clerify it for you sick, perverted people.) that was an awesome experience to see cocks battle to the death. There were also horse fights, but just a bit too bloody for my taste.

The Following day, the whole two families went to the beach. We bought fish, mango, pineapple, and more stuff. The tropical fruit there is 500X better than our stuff. The water temprature was amazing and the water was super clear. We partied and had tons of fun. It was an awesome experience. If I didn't mention already everything over there 1/10th of the price it is in the US. The Coke is in glass bottles and tastes 500X better than it does over in the US. Everyone around in the Philippines has a cell phone because they're so damn cheap and nice. No one has hardlined phones though. Internet over there isn't cheap either. Imagine no laws for traffic! IT's awesome. There are like no accidents there. We rode on Peticabs which are motorcycles with attached seating for 4 or 5. Also the buses are so frikin huge. They have insurance to protect them if they hit someone. My yay's cousin also owns a hotdog business and a salon so we all got some haircuts :D and free hotdogs.

The Last Few days we took care of whatever else we had to take care of and we stayed at an AMAZING hotel called the Dusit Hotel for about 10 hours. It was one of the best 10 hours of my life. My Family had two suites for around 138 USD or so. For dinner we went to a japanese restaurant in the hotel. IT was actual japanese cuisene and tasted sensational. Breakfast was equally good. We then had a limousine service drive us to the airport and headed home. We said our emotional good-bye's and headed on our way. Another 24 hours later we were at JFK and on our way home. Our first meal at home was some soft ice-cream and good ole burger king. I slept for like 2 days because I was getting over 12 house jet lag.

After the whole trip, I visited Heather after she got back from Otakon. We exchanged gifts from the Philippines and Otakon. I gave her a Coconut Monkey, A Philippine T-Shirt, and a copy of Doom 3 as a surprise. She surprised the hell outta me by giving me like 15 posters, 2 pins, rock and button candy ( Which I love!!!!), and a Katana all from Otakon. This why I love her. (Just Kidding ;) ) I love her for who she is and that's all that matters to me :D. So if your reading Heather, Never Change yourself for anyone. I love ya just the way ya are :D. Unfornunately, she had to leave for RI to her dad's house a few days later. I had a huge knot in my stomach right before she left. I think her dad likes me, so I'm very happy about that, but she's gonna be gone until the 21st :S . Oh Well, we've been keeping in touch over instant messaging and the phone. I hope to go visit her while she's in RI :) . Anyway, that's it for now. Cya All Later.
